How to Plan a Luxury Private Villa Event on the Côte d'Azur
Private villa events give you privacy, a setting nobody else has, and complete control of the timeline. They also give you no events team, no back-of-house and no spare equipment.

Start with the route in
Gate width, drive surface, turning space, steps and lift access determine what can reach your terrace. Collect these numbers before you book any supplier and share them with all of them.
The most common villa problem is not cost or catering; it is a beautiful thing that physically cannot get to where it is meant to stand.
Power, water and shade
Most experiences need a standard socket within reach. Some need shade to work at all in summer. Neither is difficult, but both are easier to solve a week early than an hour before guests arrive.
Walk the garden at the hour your event starts, not at midday — the shade will have moved.
Plan the guest flow through the levels
Riviera villas are terraced, and guests will spread out. Put one focal point on each level guests use, and use service that moves — roaming champagne — to cover the gaps between them.
Placing everything on the main terrace looks impressive at set-up and leaves half the garden empty by nine in the evening.
Staffing: who does what
Confirm that each supplier brings their own staff and that those staff work only on that supplier's element. Our experiences each include a dedicated host, so a private chef or caterer is never asked to cover a cart.
Also confirm who clears glassware, who handles waste and who locks up. In a house, these questions have no default answer.

Noise, neighbours and finish times
Rental agreements on the Côte d'Azur typically set a finish time, and neighbours are closer than the hedges suggest. Work backwards from the finish time and ask suppliers how loud their breakdown is.
We plan set-up and removal to be quiet, which is not a small detail at one in the morning on a gravel drive.
Choose experiences that suit a long evening
Villa events run longer than hotel events. Experiences guests return to — a photo and audio booth, a popcorn cart during an outdoor film, mini pancakes late — earn their place better than a single showpiece.
